We left Pensacola about 8:30 AM and traveled about 400 miles to Grenada Ms. We had planned to have dinner in Memphis tonight but we're not able to make it that far. We did get to talk to Andrea's son Ben on the phone and had hopes of having dinner with him. We've never met him and he had never met us and it would have been great. Jerry had trouble with his trailer wheel bearings. The bearings gave up the ghost in Jackson Ms. The people that repacked them had overtighten them causing 2 of them to burn up. Luckily they failed a mile from the repair shop. Very nice day and otherwise a great ride. David
Last night ended with our flat screen TV falling off the shelf, hitting the edge of the chair and then fell to the floor. Needless to say, we through it in the dumpster this morning. It had a lot of colorful wavy lines all over the screen. We went through Mobile, Alabama and saw the Battleship USS Alabama. As we drove on, we came to Hattiesburg, Alabama, known as a certified Retirement Community. Now here is one for you---Dry Creek Water Park - really? When Jerry and Reva's trailer began smoking, we were just a few miles from Jackson, Mississippi. Once their trailer was fixed we were in rush hour traffic but it still wasn't as bad as New Jersey. We finally made it to our camp grounds about 8:15p.m. Tomorrow were heading toward Memphis, TN. We might run into Elvis!!!Marilyn
What fun! Excited to see you both! - Sharice
ReplyDeleteWe are really glad you are doing this! Now we can keep tabs on my parents, lol. Sorry to hear about your tv. Just pop over and watch with Reva, she's probably watching something you'd like better than David is anyway... :)
