Hyder Alaska/Stewart B.C. to Prince George B.C.

June 22, 2011, Wednesday-   Today was a travel day!  We left Hyder, Alaska/Steward, B.C. this morning around 7:30a.m.  This is the first morning that it hasn’t been raining in about 10 days.  We have sunshine and its 54 degrees and it gets dark around 10:30p.m.   What an awesome drive.  We’re seeing waterfalls, mountains, the Bear Glacier and everything is so green.  We drove about 432 miles today and we’re staying in Prince George, B.C. tonight.  We saw one grizzly and half a moose.  LOL   The moose had its head in the grass munching away.
As of today we have driven over 10,000 miles in less than 2 months and our temperature is 73 degrees.  That is the warmest we’ve had since Memphis, TN, way back when!  We’re pushing toward the lower 48 so I can have my cell phone back and talk our girls. /Marilyn
