June 23, 2011-Thursday- We stayed at Sintich RV Park last night in Prince George, BC. We left early this morning; it’s cloudy and could rain at any moment. It wasn’t long and it did rain and continued all day. Jerry wasn’t happy with the rain today, but we continued on making the best of it.
We’re in Canada’s Mountain National Parks and discovered that the parks are Celebrating 100 years. 1911-2011—A Centennial Celebration! This is one of the most beautiful drives in Canada and even though it rained between Jasper & Lake Louise, the scenery was still so beautiful. Jerry’s still upset because of the rain and the pictures aren’t worth taking. I have to admit the pictures we took weren’t the best, but we’re documenting our trip. We saw a mountain goat on the side of the road, but trust me when I say, “There is nowhere to pull over.” I envy the people that could pull into the turnout. DARN IT!!!! L
There is 230 kilometers or 138 miles of continuous scenery in two National Parks! Every year, over half million people enjoy the trip between Lake Louise and Jasper. Wow, we were a part of that this year. J
Once we arrived at our campground in Lake Louise the gal at the office reminded us to: be careful, look both ways before getting out of your vehicle or trailer since grizzlies frequent the area! By the way, we ran into sleet, snow and rain. What an awesome day-LOL. Now that we’re parked and set up, the sun is shining and the power went out. Oh well, propane and a generator became our best friend. If you get this way, you’ll need to drive through here, words cannot explain this beauty. / Marilyn
