We drove around this morning in hopes to see more wild life. We went around to the back of the airport and there was a Moose! These animals are amazing. We went to check out the Fishing Hole but not many people were fishing. We decided to go back and see if Jerry and Reva wanted to go for a ride. They said they did after we had lunch. Off we went and it wasn’t long and we saw a porcupine they look so fat and are fast to hide in the woods. We got a better picture this time than the last time. We then drove on and saw a fish counting machine. This works with the current and the fish are directed into this machine and counted and then moved out the other side. I didn’t realize that they even did this but someone told us that they want to know in the Spring how many fish are in there. We saw another rabbit run across the road but he was too fast for the camera. We then drove back to Homer and are going to eat out. We went to Captain Pattie’s. The seafood sampler was fabulous: Salmon, Halibut, Shrimp and a cup of Clam Chowder. This area is also known for their sourdough bread. The tide is coming in and the Fishing Hole has several people fishing in the currenets. It’s starting to rain and we are heading back to camp. We saw a beautiful rainbow by the mountains. It was a fun day and we're going fishing tomorrow, I can’t wait!
